Whom do we help?
Our mission is to provide help where it is needed, support innovation, talent and education, protect traditions and communities and be a pillar of support for those who safeguard our security and safety.
The CSG Foundation was set up to serve a socially beneficial purpose and to support the causes that the CSG cares about most. We focus on delivering positive impact in the areas of scientific research, education and young talent. We support first responders - notably volunteer firefighters - and back charitable community projects organized by CSG employees.
Our founder is CZECHOSLOVAK GROUP a.s. The Foundation was established on the 30th anniversary of founding of CSG in order to consolidate and further expand the group's CSR activities.
The Foundation focuses primarily on areas that are close to CSG and those that reflect its values. We focus on science, research and education, particularly in the technical fields in which the Group is a global player. We support the firefighting community, which has long relied on CSG technology and products. We help Group employees who choose to devote their time and effort to a good cause and participate in communal activities.
The CSG Foundation focuses primarily on its three core themes and we only support projects in other areas in exceptional cases.
Yes! We are always looking for new opportunities to fulfill our purpose. We reflect on current issues and look for new ways to develop our activities.
The Program for Supporting Firefighting Units is intended for voluntary firefighting corps and units of voluntary firefighting corps, i.e. municipalities as their founders.
The pilot cycle of the program launched on March 17, 2025 and accepts applications until May 31. We plan to open the program regularly, twice a year.
The program is intended mainly to support educational, cultural, sporting and other projects with public benefit, managed by fire brigades and units. The program is also open to any project that contributes to development of operational capacity of firefighting units or to their physical, professional and psychological preparedness, including purchase or maintenance of equipment.
Associations of volunteer firefighters can apply for up to CZK 100,000 per project. Municipalities may apply for up to CZK 250 000, provided that the amount applied for does not exceed 70% of the total cost of the project in question.
The contribution can cover all material and immaterial costs of the project, with the exception of personal expenses, donations or expenses linked to representation, and similar items. Detailed conditions for the use of the contribution are outlined in documents, available for download on this website.
Yes, an applicant can apply for more than one project in each cycle, but a separate application must be filed for each project.
The CSG Foundation's scholarship program will be open to students of Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral programs in selected fields of study at selected universities in the Czech Republic. A specific list of departments and universities for whose students the program will open for the year can be found in the relevant section of this website once the program is launched.
We will launch the pilot cycle of the program in the academic year 2025/2026. It will be open in each year thereafter.
The basic scholarship awarded will be CZK 7,000 per month and will be paid for each month of study and will not be paid during the main holidays. The scholarship can be further increased by up to CZK 2,000 per month in case of excellent performance and up to another CZK 7,000 for socially disadvantaged students. Detailed conditions will be outlined in program documentation.
The Scholarship will be awarded for one academic year, provided that the scholarship holder fulfils the conditions of the Program throughout its duration and does not interrupt their studies.
Unsuccessful scholarship applicants will be able to reapply for the program. Successful applicants who complete the academic year and go on to further study will be able to apply for continued support through the standard route. Applicants whose scholarship has been cancelled on the basis of non-compliance with the conditions of the program will not be eligible to apply for further support.
We will support up to 30 students in the pilot year.
The Foundation plans to start supporting Czech students at universities abroad in 2026.
The program is intended to support publicly beneficial projects, organised by employees of CSG companies. The applicant must not be on probation or in their notice period at the time of application or during the organisation of the project.
The maximum possible support granted to a single project is CZK 50,000 or the equivalent in local currency, currently approximately EUR 2,000.
Yes, the program call runs in two 6-month installments every year, from June to November and from December to May.
Only one project can be submitted per applicant per cycle. The same project, whether or not it has been previously supported however, may apply for support in different cycles.
The program is designed to help CSG employees who find themselves in sudden personal or family distress.
The program is intended primarily for employees of CSG who have been the victims of a natural disaster, a serious accident, face health issues or are dealing with a similar situation through no fault of their own.
Whether or not support will be granted as well as its amount is determined directly by the Foundation's Board of Trustees in an accelerated approval procedure. We always work closely with the candidate and their local HR to assess the complexities of each situation individually. Support for the program is always "earmarked" - we do not provide direct financial gifts but support the employee in need by covering specific expenses that directly relate to resolution of their distress.
The applicant can contact the CSG Foundation directly or through the HR department of their employer, who will then facilitate further communication with the Foundation.
