About our support of firefighters

We aim to help where it matters most.

The mission of volunteer firefighters is challenging. They put themselves at risk protecting and saving others, fight the elements, deal with natural and man-made disasters and all kinds of emergencies. At the same time, they often form the heart and soul of their communities, uphold traditions, educate, work with children... We are proud to support them in their invaluable work.

Terms and Conditions of the Volunteer Firefighters Support Program

What projects we support

We support projects that contribute to the preparedness of firefighting units, whether it is purchase or maintenance of equipment or developing the professional, physical or mental capabilities through training. We also contribute to firefighters' communal activities: charitable campaigns, work with children, firefighting sports or any other activity that is done with public interest at heart.

About the Program

When will the Program be launched?

The program was formally launched on March 17, 2025.

Who can participate in the Program?

Projects can be submitted by volunteer fire brigades ("sbory dobrovolných hasičů") and their units ("jednotky sborů dobrovolných hasičů"). In the latter case, the unit is represented by its founding municipality ("obec"), which needs to file the application on its behalf.

How can a project be submitted?

A project can be submitted by completing the application form available on this website and sending it along with any required documents to info@csgfoundation.com.

What is the maximum financial support available under the Program?

Volunteer fire brigades ("spolky") can receive up to 100,000 CZK per project.

Municipalities, requesting support for their volunteer units can receive up to 250,000 CZK, covering up to 70% of the total project costs.

What can the support from the Program cover?

The grant can be used exclusively to purchase goods or services listed in the original application. It cannot be used for personal expenses, gifts, representation or similar expenses, except for catering and refreshments. More detail on acceptable expenses can be found in program documentation, available on this website.

Who decides which projects will be supported?

All submitted applications that meet the requirements will be reviewed by the Program Committee, which is appointed by the Board of Trustees of the Foundation. The committee will consider all aspects of the project, most notably the project's alignment with the Program’s purpose, its impact and scope and the efficiency of the planned use of Foundation’s contribution.

When can I submit my project, and when will I know if it has been approved?

The pilot round of the program opened on March 17, 2025, applications can be submitted until May 31, 2025. The results will be announced by the Foundation by June 30, 2025.

What needs to be done after completing a supported project?

By the deadline specified in the gift agreement, recipients must submit a brief project summary and a financial report detailing the use of the funds.
